TBUFF Mini Documentary

The Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival (TBUFF) is an independent film festival that has been around for over 10 years. They support local young filmmakers get their movies shown and appreciated in the Tampa Bay community by offering cast and crew the opportunity to see their movie on the big screen at a real movie theater.

Unlike most film festivals, after their film is shown, artists are offered a quick Q&A session where they receive feedback from both the audience and board members of the film festival.

Originally, the project was a mere student assignment in which I got to select the topic. It was a 6-min documentary (video below) which it got aired on PBS Arts+ program. A really significant accomplishment from my part. However, since I had a considerable amount of additional footage, and their 10th year anniversary was coming up, I decided to make a longer version (video above) to give this documentary its proper run time and story to be told.
The TBUFF Documentary aims to celebrate the people who make it possible for new and upcoming filmmakers to receive feedback on their movie, feel acknowledged for their hard work, and allow them to see their movie on the big screen.
